Hi all

Quick hello/newby post.

I'm very excited because today I put a deposit on my first Skoda! It's a 2017 Superb L&K in Grey (I'm sure there's probably a fancy official name for the colour that makes it sound a bit sexier than just 'Grey', but I don't know what it is yet).

It's the 2.0 petrol hatch (is it called a hatch? It doesn't look like a hatch but it definitely opens like a hatch) 220hp with the DSG, Beige leather interior.

Goodness me it's plush! Only had a quick drive but it was so smooth and comfortable, I felt positively ambassadorial! 😂

Collecting it next week and I can't wait.

Trading from a Focus ST so quite the change but I need more boot space and well, I don't think boots get any bigger than this do they? Estates aside obviously.

I'm 52 so it's about time I grew up a little and had a car more befitting of my age, something more regal to help me embrace later life! But God I loved that Focus!

Anyway, hello everyone and I'm looking forward to punishing you for information, tips and advice while hopefully having the odd laugh along the way.

Yeah those L&K's are certainly plush and comfortable. Have you discovered the umbrella in the door yet?

I had read about the umbrellas in the doors but I forgot to look for them today, such a nice touch that! There's loads of nice touches that I like.

Don't let the dealer fob you off if they're not in there. Get them to sort them for you 👍
