Just had my air-con regassed but was told the problem is a broken pipe that was rubbing on the chasis.

Is this a common problem and is my quote of

If the system has been opened up - which it has with the hole - then I believe that you need to replace the drier (circa £96) in addition to the pipe which would bump up the price of the repair.

The written quote I have states "Pressure test: Found leak in pipe from bottom drier - exp valve." Quote only mentions supply, fit and recharge. I may need to clarify if the drier is included.
