Bit of a weird one, the rear passenger door drivers side won't open if it's been central locked from the remote , all the others work.

But open the door from inside, close the door , then you can open from the outside, I e. The ignition is off, doors closed, I can open door from outside, but lock the car then it won't, I have to reach in pull the inside handle then open it, close the door then I can open as normal from outside.

I can close door lock car,on the fob but not open from outside

Is the micro switch 'lunched' ?

My wife's 2008 SEAT Altea has had exactly the same problem twice - new door lock needed each time.

Maybe, but… do the cabin lights and door open light on the dash function properly?

I’d be checking the wiring through the b pillar bellows into the door for any fraying or cracks. And also the block connectors for water damage.

Had another look at it , the other doors ,you can feel and hear it unlock, but not the door in question.

In the past someone 'shaved' the door handle of, picked it up and put it on the roof, didn't leave contact details.

Since had a new handle fitted , so I think it's likely something come adrift.
