FABIA MK4 - TSI - DLAA maintenance ?

Featured Replies

I would like to ask where i can find a complete detailed maintenance program for the Fabia MK4-  1.0 TSI – 110ps - DLAA engine.

I don't want the classic “ book for the 1 or 2 year service plan at the dealer” but a full/detailed list of what work is required in which kilometers or time passed (filters, liquids, spark plugs, belts, timing etc).

Looking for something like the old school user manuals (i am posting screenshots from a Fiat Bravo T-Jet owners manual service plan that i previous owned for reference and for better understanding of what i am looking for) who were much more detailed and owner involving at the maintenance field.

I want to know these things mainly because i like DIYing, and i want having control and decide for the maintenance work, without depending to what dealer says or what is trying to shell...

Do all checks visually pre and post winter.

Check tyres / pressures regularly.

Check the Pollen / Cabin filter and clean or replace each year rather than 2 if you want.

Check the Air Filter annually rather than every 6 years / 60,000 miles.

Spark Plugs every 40,000 miles / 4 years.

Brake fluid change is now each 2 years rather than first at 3 then each 2.

A search of Briskoda service charts, or Oil & Inspection Services will likely show you what little Skoda Main Dealer Servicing involves.

They might tick a box, that means nothing, certainly not that it was done.

My days of messing about with a car are long gone. I just want to get in a car and drive (if only) but that's not how contemporary motoring works. However, if I was preparing for diy maintenance I'd look into Haynes manuals which are now digital. Whether they are still any good or not in 2025 I can't say but here's a link.

Haynes Manuals UK | DIY Maintenance and Repair Guides

Buy Haynes & Clymer manuals online in the UK. Trusted DIY repair guides for cars, vans, motorcycles, tractors, marine & ATVs in print and digital formats.

You can pay some money and online get the Servicing Info for your car.

It will show what Dealers never do like Sunroofs.

Or that VW Group UK was taking the Pith with 5 years / 50,000 mile Cam Belt changes up to 2023.

& even more so since the UK is not considered 'Dust Rich'. Unless you live or work near a quarry maybe.
