Reset Service Indicator - 2012 Fabia 1.2 SE

Featured Replies

Ok, I know there's loads of these threads already but none of the suggestions worked for me. I'd guess VAG group have been changing the process for different models and different dashboards. Mine is the basic dash with the small green digital display.

I got this from this video, and it worked on my 2012 Fabia.

You can watch the video if you like but it's very simple;

  1. Ignition off.

  2. Hold 0.0 button down whilst switching the ignition on.

  3. Keep holding the 0.0 button down for 8 secs (that's timed from the video).

  4. Release the 0.0 button and immediately press the button to the left (stacked pages diagram).

  5. That's it, but if you press the stacked pages button a few times, you should see the mileage to next service has changed to 9,400.

  6. Turn the ignition off and back on to confirm SERVICE has disappeared from the display.

Some comments suggest that the above only worked when the Hazard Warning lights were switched on.

Before watching this video, I tried holding down the 0.0 button only, without pressing the stacked pages button and that didn't work. I also tried holding down both buttons for 10 secs and that didn't work, so it's the process of pressing/releasing both buttons as above that makes it work.
