Hi everyone new to the page, im currently looking at buying a mk2 octavia vrs diesel with dsg box , the car is high milage @175k mi being a 2010 car but the current owner has reasured me that full service history of the car is there. Before I go to look diesel with dsg box the car in person im wondering what I should be looking out for common problems with this modle. Other than the very common ones like dpf and clutch pack .

That full Service History should show the DSG at least serviced as per schedule, so @40,000, 80,000, 120,000, and maybe since so at 160,000 miles. The DPF might well be an issue if still fitted / not gutted.
