Greetings brains trust....I have just purchased a 2007 octavia vrs tdi....when I purchused it the front right indicator wasn't working, I checked the bulb that was OK, I unclipped the rubber between the door and bulk head and disturbed the wires and now it's working, now the issue is when I turn the sidelights on both indicators light up and no sidelights, when I indicate they flash as they should, any ideas what I should be looking at next ? TIA

It a common problem on older cars that one or mores wires in the rubber boot between the driver's door and the body are broken.

First signs are often an intermittent function as the ends of the broken wires meet then separate.
