Power Steering Packed Up - Help

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am a noob to this site and there seems to be a lot of info here.

My power steering has packed up - I took it to the dealer (HL Austin in London) - said he could nt communicate with the power steering unit.

He used a machine and tried option / test 44 I believe - The power assistance test - That failed saying it couldnt communicate with the unit.

Anybody like to say wether the pump needs replacing - The guy seemed pretty new and didnt come across as certain.

Thanks

Assuming you are talking about a Fabia?

Fuses ok?

Just the one unit? Could it talk to all other modules? I would go with the above advice first. :)

I ve checked the fuses - They all work sweet.

Sounds like it is a pump then if the pump is powered up.
