Happy Kodiaq Owner

Featured Replies

Should have posted here last February when I acquired the car but better late than never I suppose. I have been a member of BRISKODA since 2017 when I bought a Superb estate but after almost 90k miles, decided in late 2024 to trade it in for a Kodiaq once I found a suitable one. Finally found a 22 plate L&K TDI 200 DSG 4x4 in grey with 27.5k on the clock which was delivered to me on Feb 7th 2025. I tarted it up a bit putting all season tyres on it, fancy (legal) number plates, a carbon rear sill protector, a load space protector, front and rear dash cams and a towbar. I also took my DTUK pedalbox out of the Superb, got it updated and fitted it to the Kodiaq. Have since put just over 7K miles on the car and have been very happy. Following an advisory on my MOT, I had to have the rear brake pads and discs replaced just yesterday for just over £200 which I didn't think was a bad price.

I find the Kodiaq more comfortable than the Superb and have found it to be a more stable towcar than the Superb was. Getting in and out of it is easier too. I did foolishly think that being an L&K model it would have all the 'extras' the Superb had such as rear aircon and heated rear seats but it doesn't - they had obviously become extra cost extras by 2022. Mind you, it does have a heated steering wheel and 'smart' led headlights that I can leave on main beam because they adjust so as not to dazzle oncoming drivers. The adaptive cruise control with traffic sign recognition is also pretty nifty - don't know where it gets its information from but it slows the car automatically for bends and roundabouts which is all a bit spooky and not a feature I would ever entrust my life to but it does seem to work quite well most of the time.
