As this looks like it is going to become a regular occurance, thought we could have a semi-permentant discussion page so here goes:

Arrived at the beech car park, only to be told I wasn't allowed because I had a dog in the car, I was sent to the dog car park, where I walked across some stinky sinking sand

After meeting everyone on the beach I burried the dog in sand to hide her fron the beach wardens (Was off 4 times in the end) doh!

The Lobster modification:

And lastly WTF are these miniture camels? They looked like a love child bewteen a goat and a teddy bear.

Those "mini Camels" are Al pacas my sister has four of them as "guard dogs"

Al Pacas? That sounds like a sort Indian cuisine.

I will remember that name. Can you milk them?

2nd Joint SCC/Briskoda Weston-s-Mare beach meet Report

I set off at 9.15am with David (drm_jones) following in his Octavia VRS, stopping on the way to meet Dave (Trucido) who joined our little convoy from Bristol to Morrisons in Weston.

Once at Morrisons, I went to park up, but the 2 Daves carried on pass me!

I had some how managed to miss Maddys Pink Cupra, but the other two had spotted ‘pinky’ as they came in the car park.

Unknowingly at the time, the new shape Skoda Octavia that also followed us in the car park was John (gillywibble) and his family.

We all parked up next to Maddy and all got out of our cars to introduce each other, have a chat and to wait and see who else would arrive.

While waiting in Morrisons I soon got texts from both Nicola and Laura to say they were on there way.

The time was about 10.45ish when I got another text from Laura to say she had gone straight into Weston and was waiting on the Seafront.

With Nicola due any moment at Morrisons, Me and John headed to the beach to meet up with Laura, while the 2 Daves and Maddy waited for Nic.

About 10 minutes after parking on the beach, I saw Dave, and the others drive pass the beach car park, before I had a chance to ring them Laura rang to find out where about’s we were on the beach. While chatting to Laura, she had said she’d seen the others drive pass a few times already!!

They were all following Dave (Trucido) but he wasn’t sure where he was going or meeting us!!

I don’t think Dave will be leading any convoys again!!

Dave finally stopped and gave me a call and I pointed him in the right direction and he, maddy, nic and david joined us on the beach.

After a last minute convo on msn the night before, we had decided to have a BBQ on the beach, but unfortunately the beach was very windy, so we didn’t think a BBQ would be much fun in the strong wind so we headed for a pub for a bite to eat.

On our way to the pub we came across 100’s of maypole dancers walking, singing and dancing towards us along the seafront (see pics)

We went to the pub where David, Nic and Jason had gone at last months meet, this was a nice pub, where we could all sit outside.

While at the pub, we were joined by Steve(bezgti).

After our meals we made our ways back to the cars for some cricket on the beach.

Dave had brought a bat and ball, but we didn’t have any stumps, luckily Johns kids had 3 mini shovels which ended up making a good set of stumps!

Not long into our game of cricket Dave (trucido) was batting and launched one up in the air, down the beach, towards the sea,

It was soon apparent the ball was heading towards a couple of people walking along the beach, the ball bounced well before them, but instead of not bouncing much like in the sand we were playing on the ball bounced up head height hitting a woman on the back of the head!!!

Fortunately the ball was plastic and wasn’t travel that fast when it hit her, but it was very amusing!!!

While playing cricket we were joined by Rob and Sally and Emily and her friend and her dog Princess.

Emily had walked over to meet us as they wouldn’t let her on the beach with her car and Princess.

Emily and her friend(sorry forgotten name) later collected their cars and parked on the beach with us.

Not long after Emily joined us, we were also joined by the last ones to join us, Will (Tigger 1979) and his gf .

I think by the time Will had joined us we had stopped playing cricket and we were all sat or stood around our cars chatting, David and Nicola both sat in the Boot of nicola’s newly slammed Arosa!

Emily also produced a new mod for her car near the end, a giant red inflatable lobster which she strapped down to the roof of her skoda!!

After we’d stopped playing cricket people gradually started making their way home with myself, nic, david, steve, will and Emily the last to leave just before 6pm I think.

Great write up of the day! Had a fab time, but I will never EVER where a skirt to Weston again. How much wind was there?

Yes, as I am prepared for every eventually I always have a change of clothes in my car - put the skirt on after the mud incident.
