Octavia iv 48v error

Featured Replies

Skoda octavia iv 1.0 etec has a problem with 48v system. It all started with a warning of 12v vattery low voltage, the 12v battery was charged and the next day there was a text saying that I have a problem with 48v system and don't drive.

The 12v battery was changed because the old one was bad but the problem didn't go away.

There is code P16C500 and U046900.

The first code I belive is for the 48v battery disconnect switch stuck closed and the other is for the starter/alternator signal being wrong.

Could this be a wiring problem or should the switch box for 48v battery be changed? Can I drive the car or should it be fixed asap?
