DPF won't force regen

Featured Replies

Hi Everyone,

I have a 1.6 TDi. The DPF won't regen. I have a check engine light on, and the coil light flashes.

error codes

P018300 fuel temperature sensor A circuit high

P164E00 oil pressure regulation valve electrical malfunction

Garage said they can change the fuel temp sensor, but they say they don't know which oil pressure valve to change. They recommended me go find an auto electrician to figure out what to do.

Does that sound right? Isn't there just one oil pressure regulation valve?

I hope you can help me with my problem!

Cheers,

choclit

My code reader showed the "oil pressure regulation valve electrical malfunction" code and my trusted indie garage assured me that's exactly what it was - a malfunction. It's only happened once with the regular appearance of another one which also looks to be a malfunction and which I clear when it happens.
