SatNav no longer stores favourites

Featured Replies

I have had some problems with the info system. A few months ago all my favourites disappeared. I have tried putting new ones in, but whenever the ignition is turned off they disappear again. I have also lost my Home destination too.

Around the time they first disappeared I had another software issue that happened. It was just the one occasion when the heating controls froze.
I was picking up a relative up to take them to a hospital appointment. It was very cold, so I had the heating turned up and my seat heating on before I reached their house.

The car was turned off for a few minutes, whilst I got them in the car.

When driving again I tried to turn down the heating, but it wouldn't respond, neither could I turn off my seat heater which got very uncomfortable. I pulled over and turned the car off for 5 minutes, the fault was still there when I started off again.
I was at the hospital for several hours after which the fault had cleared, and has not returned.

I have done a factory reset, but that hasn't helped.
Can anyone help
Malcolm

What software version have you got? I've had these issues in the past, updating to 1941 then 1989 seems to have fixed most, but the car still finds new ways to annoy me.

Hardware H56, Software 1804. I've checked and I still have warranty from the dealer I bought the car from. They've sent me a copy of the agreement, I just need to read up on it to see what's covered.

1804 is very old, that is most likely the cause of your troubles. Mine was on that when I bought it. I had the "all in one" extended warranty, but the dealer tried to charge me for updating the software as part of a regular service. I told them where to go and they backed down.

I would suggest reporting the faults rather than asking them just to update the software. Good luck.

when I got my 2021 Octavia 2 years ago I had a number of problems including navigation not storing favourites. My software version was 1804 and I insisted that the dealer updated it to 1941 (the then latest version). This fixed my problems.

If you bought an approved used Skoda then they are supposed to confirm that all software is up to date. This was the lever I used to get the infotainment updated.

Thanks for that, I emailed them yesterday to verify that my problems are covered by the warranty. Still waiting for a reply. It was an approved used Skoda, so that is useful.

The software has been updated, and the problems have gone. Thanks for your help.

Glad to be of assistance.
