Smartlink/Android Auto Enable

I have a 2016 Octavia, I want to enable this feature what is the best and value for money way to do this?

I have seen 2 sites online where I can pay £50 which will enable it via cable and then another £40-50 for a wireless adapter but they say I will need to code another option.

Any reommendations please I just don't want to be spending a fortune if I can help it.

Patch mib2 with Navi, SD Card Patch

Without Navi, you need To Open the Unit and QNX

An early 2016 Octavia will have a MIB1 which AFAIK cannot support CarPlay or AndroidAuto, later 2016 build have a MIB2 which can be patched.

I have a 2010 Fabia 1.2 and the ODB port isn't playing ball. Tried 2 different scanners and they both fail to auth with the ECU. I initially thought it might be a bad fuse so I replaced num 22, didnt change a thing. Slipped the port out of the dash and made sure that the wires are fully seated in the connector, no change. I've tried with electrics on and also engine on, doesn't make a difference. Does anybody have any suggestions on what to look for next?

Yesterday our Roomster started beeping and flashing the warning light about the ABS. My first thought was to replace the ABS sensors – they are around £7 each and seem to be easy enough to replace by removing the rear wheels. I could also give the connections a bit of a clean at the same time. What are my chances chances of fixing the issue within 45 minutes of DIY work? I don’t have any diagnostic tools, but if this is a common fault with an easy fix it would be great to know what other peo

Hi, My tensioner failed at low revs and speed, the car juddered and stalled. It restarted and I drove home about a mile steadily. It seemed to drive normally if a little noisy. Next day it would start but not run. The check engine light was on. Pretty sure the Timing jumped a tooth. Q. do the valves always hit the pistons? do the valves always bend? Might I get away with an new tensioner and re-time? TIA

Hi, I'm looking at a 72k mile Skoda Superb 65 plate, hopefully lots of motorway miles. It looks good, my main concerns being the lack of dsg oil change & potential for carbon build up due to direct injection. I currently have a mk6 Golf GTI (EA888 Gen 1) which didn't support dual injection & bit me when the carbon build up & clogged injectors caused a flooded cylinder.
