Hi,

I have a 2018 Skoda Fabia Monte Carlo estate and I’m having a problem with Apple CarPlay that started immediately after updating my iPhone to iOS 26.

Symptoms:

• The iPhone charges from the car, but there is no CarPlay prompt on the car or on the phone.

• SmartLink / CarPlay options are visible in the menu and CarPlay used to work reliably before the iOS 26 update.

• I have already tried multiple genuine/short cables, different iPhones, factory‑reset the phone and the car’s infotainment, and deleted/paired devices again, but the behaviour has not changed.

From the infotainment “System information” screen my unit shows:

• Device part number: 6V0 035 866 J

• Hardware: 680

• Software: 8740

• CarPlay: 210.81

• Android Auto: S1.3_A8740

• MirrorLink: 8740_ml_2016_11_01
