As the title says i am looking to change one of our cars for the last of the Mk3's, should i go for the petrol or diesel, either way it will be a DSG. The price difference between petrol and the oil option is about 30p per litre so that is a fair bit. I do about 10,000 per year so am thinking that diesel may not be the way to go. I keep hearing about chain issues or oil consuption on the TSI engine but that seems to be in the early versions, not the ones that would be in a 2020 car. What do you all say for my choices.

i would say go for diesel yes it costs more per Litre but you get more miles from a litre.

as for trim L+K it has more features than SEL
