It’s had a new battery put in about 2 months ago.

OK - Skoda Vehicle Diagnostic Report screen grabs attached. Obviously I've no idea how to interpret these but hopefully might give you a sense of the boat I'm in. And whether I'm in £1k replacement module territory. Many thanks.

Thanks for the replies. I’ve seen all the error codes listed on garages A4 print out but need to take a photo. The speedometer stopped working today - the needle refusing to register any speed whilst on the motorway and the dash yelled ‘BRAKES!’ At me. The joys

I think they read them - will check tomorrow. But they said when they cleared them, all the fault codes were cleared and remained cleared. Until the warning lights all popped on again. Do the warning lights returning trigger fault codes again?

Garage clears all ABS fault lights but then they come back on. Am I really looking at £1k repair?? Now with CODES
Only 35k miles on my lovely Superb Elegance TSI 1.8 estate. 2014. Had repeated issues with warning lights coming on dash. A garage can clear but then they come back on again after a couple of days. Current garage has a good diagnostics background and are saying the entire ABS module needs to be sent off - possibly with ABS filter as these can’t be separated (?). Then looking at @£500 for a new ABS module with @£400 labour. And then still can’t guarantee warning lights won’t reappear. They’ve cleared the fault lights multiple times, diagnostics then says no faults, and then fault lights back on again. A my wits end. Any advice? Or go ahead with the work? Just not sure what boat I’m in. Any thoughts much appreciated.

Erroneous warning lights infrequent pre service but now almost constant!
Thanks so much for everyone's input. HUGELY appreciated. I've found a helpful VCDS holding member nearby and will take it from there. Thanks again

Erroneous warning lights infrequent pre service but now almost constant!
Have enjoyed my 2014 Superb 1.8 petrol estate Elegance for a couple of years but then erroneous warnings and lights started coming on - abs, light tracking, tyre pressure etc. I knew they were erroneous because tyres were def no losing pressure etc. My wife got nervous and wanted me to have them checked out by the local garage before a long drive. Garage said they 'updated the computer' and 'updated bug fixes' but now these warnings come on MORE frequently. And I paid £300 for this 'service'!! Wondering what the issue might be - or if more gravity to it then simply getting the garage to up their game? Should I suggest they use or pay for a particular update to their system? Thanks so much in advance.

Removing corrosion from wheel centre caps
I'm very happy with an alloy wheel refurbishment on my Trinities (Superb Estate Mark II 1.8 Elegance). The garage didn't replace the centre caps because they said the corrosion on the caps might crack the new lacquer. But I don't want to be spending nearly £40 on new caps. I'm not so precious about the wheels looking stunning (I'm just delighted the refurb means they're not leaking air anymore). I can break off the cap corrosion with my nail but I wondered if there's a better way that might result in a smoother (lacquer protecting) finish? Caps otherwise seem absolutely fine. Any thoughts, tips great appreciated.

Any alloy refurbishment recommendations in London or SE area?
Bought my Superb 1.8 petrol estate Elegance with automatic gearbox 2 years ago and have had slow leaking tyres ever since. Changed valves, then tyres and now looking to refurb the alloys. I'd probably buy a new set of wheels but I've just had a new set of Michelin CrossClimate 2 fitted. Wheels are the 18" Trinities (see pics). Previous owner did very few miles and lived by the coast in Northern Scotland. Spoke to a refurb (https://spitandpolish.co.uk) place today and they said the alloy corrosion is getting between the tyre and wheel - so I'm looking to get the wheels fully refurbed. They also offer a 12 month warranty for the work. But they're Tonbridge and I wondered if anyone knew of a similar service closer to me in SE London that might also offer a warranty. Best, Nick

Help/advice re changing wheels/alloys on Superb Estate Elegance 2014
Thanks fort that GDcobra - very helpful thoughts. I actually went to Kwikfit to address the tyres losing pressure in the interim - and just as chimaera mentioned, it was a corroded value on the front passenger side! They replaced it free of charge so kudos to kwik fit. Pressures looks stable now so I'm thinking of seeing the current tyres out and taking stock again then. But such helpful thoughts to reference here. Thank you.

Lovely. Thanks for the pointer Carlston and thoughts Rkdee. Looks like I need to get the current rims checked over and see if it's currently a tyre or rim issue that's causing air loss. N

Help/advice re changing wheels/alloys on Superb Estate Elegance 2014
Thanks Carlston. So you'd go for the 16" and buy them new? Sounds like my current front wheels could be leaking air. I could ask Kwik Fit to check and possibly repair. My local independent garage said they steer well clear of tyre repairs because they never end up fixing them. The tyres are almost new when I bought about 3k miles ago. They don't look damaged so it could well be an alloy issue. Hmm.
