Columbus Sat Nav Superb Mk2 - not resuming songs from where it left off

Hi Everyone, the Columbus head in our 2015 superb Mk 2 has started acting strange.

1) no longer remembers which song you were listing to when you restart, always start half way through one specific track off the sd car

2) same if you switch over to HDD always starts part way through the same song.

3) always brings up new telephone book available once it's up and running.

It hasn't got any other problems at all, this is more of an annoyance.

Has anyone else experienced the same issues?

Is it an early sign of a failing head unit?

Has anyone replaced their head unit with an aftermarket one they could recommend?
