How to reset airbag error message

Featured Replies

I've just installed a dashcam with a hardwire kit. It works well but I now get an airbag warning message. I'm sure that I haven't touched the airbag fuse(s).

From some searching I think I need to use an OBD device to reset this message. Is that right? Is there any reason that I shouldn't get a £12 from eBay or is that a mistake?

TIA

You need to check the error code with some OBD diagnostics tool (VCDS, Vag Can Pro, OBD Eleven, ODIS, VC Tool etc.) to understand the problem, make sure the root casuse is fixed and then clear the error code.
