My car was first registered in March 2025 and has covered 8500 miles. On locking the car I've noticed recently that the drivers door mirror squeaks quite loudly when folding. My problem is where to apply lubricating grease, and what type of grease to use. Can anyone assist me please ?

Frightening experience today – got locked inside my car (2022 Octavia 1.5 TSi SEL). Unlocked ok (by touching door handle) and got in, then noticed the hazards flashed once, then I tried to start the car as usual with the key in my pocket and it was dead – just a sign on the dash saying “Key Not recognised”. Tried putting the key near the start button and still nothing. Fiddled with the key buttons to no avail, then found the doors and windows had all locked from inside and I couldn’t get out! I

Hi all. Back after a long period away. After 12 years with my Octavia VRS Tdi 184 Combi, it's time to change. I've been looking at the Kamiq and the Scala but find I'm drawn to the Scala a little more. Before I decide, any real world feedback on the Scala would be appreciated. Thank you.

So, there seems to be very little info on the 280PS version of the Skoda Superb at the moment. I'm sure that will change in time but if anyone finds further information on this engine please post here. There are currently no reviews of this engine and the configurator is also not showing it. The only few things I've found are posted below as a starter. I'm likely to order this engine in L&K when I have the cash as it seems to tick the boxes (practicality for SWMBO and umphh for me)
