Route Data

Featured Replies

Just picked up my nearly new Octavia a couple of days ago and trying to find out what it can and can't do via the infotainment head unit. So a couple of quick ones of I may.

is there a way of pulling historical route data to prove where the vehicle was at a particular time and date?

I'd there a setting which picks up fixed speed cameras?

Many thanks

A reputable dealer would have erased route history for privacy reasons I suspect.

The second question depends on if it was specced from new by the buyer. That can be answered by getting the VIN decoded. Maybe the seller can answer that for you. Mine did.

Thanks Lee, I was thinking more for future reference regarding the route data. It proved very useful on a previous KIA when I received a parking summons when I wasn't even in the car park.

I'm aware something can be retrieved from Google Maps, but this only says where your phone has been not your vehicle

I made a mistake in my reply - I think Google maps does show fixed speed camera locations. Apologies.

If you subscribe to the traffication app, you receive alerts to both fixed and mobile speed cameras. Well I do in the UK anyway
