Constant stereo resets

I apologise as I am sure the answer is in the forums, but there a lot of conflicting posts

I have a Superb, PHEV 2020, SE-L. The stereo has gone insane. First it had terrible connectivity issues, then it kept turning off the mic? Crazy. Now though, it reboots the whole unit every 45-60 seconds. Black screen, back to the Skoda logo - just like I'd held down the power button.

I tried resets, pulling the fuse etc, but it's to no avail. Any ideas? Is it software/firmware first? This seems to be expensive to do at a garage, and they said there was no guarantee of a fix. Skoda apparently want £3k to replace the unit?

I could buy a plus center unit, but I'm worried it will be shiiiiiit. Thoughts?
