Hi guys,

I've got a 2015 Fabia 1.4tdi with a few issues. Firstly the coil light flashes when in 3rd, 4th and 5th gear taking the revs to between 2.25 and 2.5k revs. I've replaced the fuel pressure sensor and regulator sensor as that's what an engine management light flagged up. The car does feel less powerful than normal.

Also since replacement of the 2 sensors I've got an oil leak appear and the oil was changed only a few weeks ago and noticed that today dripping from the filter.

So far this year the car has had the following replaced.

Clutch, cambelt and waterpump.

New fuel pressure pipes one split.

3 x new injectors

DPF off and fully cleaned.

Reconditioned gear box.

The sensors mentioned above.

The cars on 72k miles and is driving me away from owning another Skoda/VW. Any advice or pointers to getting it resolved would be greatly appreciated.

Reckon get it scanned for codes. sounds like either an under or overboost turbo problem. My old octavia did similar due to actuator sticking but without a scan on yours its guess work. Mine used to go into limp mode but no eml. Car drove ok but definite lack of power.

Hi mate no codes coming up at all. This is the headache from it all. When the coil light flashes it's dips power then goes well then drops back down again.

Might be sticking turbo veins. I think they are variable on yours. On my Octavia no flashing coil light but would go into limp mode randomly especially if accelerating hard in 2nd - 4th gear and clear itself after restart. It wasnt a full limp mode just down about 30% on power. No codes stored. I first thought it was veins sticking but I manually operated wastegate first and discovered it was sticking slightly at a certain point. I lubricated and kept manually operating it till it was smooth again and no more limp modes. As there are no codes it might be worth a look at the actuator

Thanks mate. I'll get the actuator off or just replace it.

worth a shot. On mine it overboosted and randomly you just heard a very slight blow off sound. Almost like a blip of a siren in the distance then loss of power.
