Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I'm thinking of buying a octavia however where i'm from we only have the 1.6 or a 2.0 FSI Octavia available. Just wondring which one is the better buy and your thoughts and comments on these cars.

Thanks!

I've driven the 1.6 and the 2.0.

The 1.6 is okay. Put if you fill up your car with 4 adults and luggage, it will be quite slow. The 2.0 has the power to react quickly.

I dont know the price diff. in UK, but here it is around £2000.

Best buy. 2.0 FSI, and therefor I've ordered the 2.0 FSI and waiting.

Difficult decision. I'd probably go for the 1.6 FSI for many reasons, such as running costs, buying/selling.

For a nice hard grunt, you'd be better of with the 2.0 FSI.

Depends on what you want it for...

I bought a 2.0 Ambiente about six months ago - and to be honest i think it is brilliant.

I wanted something a little bigger - my last car was a Favorit - i kept that one for eleven years - 105,000 on the same clutch - brakes only changed once - passed every mot - this Octavia is like a tank - they go for ever - uses a little more petrol - my mates are doing some very serious thinking on what to buy for their next car.

Get the 2.0 if you can afford it. It is a little slow off the mark but when it is in warp drive you can keep up with the best of them - you don`t even have to look out for the hills to plan for that extra run to get up them:eek:

Get the 2.0
