Just got my sons MK1 1.2htp through another MOT. Did front swing arms and console bushes. plus a few other ball joints while I was at it. Only advisories this year are front nearside tyre worn on edge and a slightly loose wing mirror glass. Not bad for a twenty year old car. Tyre is worn probably due to front bushes being shot plus had a slow puncture so may have been run soft. Will get alignment checked and maybe a new tyre. Very happy plus so is my son. He even got me a nice bottle of single malt as a thankyou.

Thanks to Pete for advice on console bolts etc.

Hi all, I've just had some work done on my 2017 Sportline 280 4x4 - waterpump, thermostat, aux belts, do88 intercooler, new horns. I was gutted and worried when I saw the state of my crashbar, you could literally peel the rust off in places Has anyone else had theirs as rusty? Cheers

I've downloaded the 27GB file, extracted it on the PC to a folder, copied all the unzipped contents (28GB - 6,828 folders!) to a 2TB USB C drive and am now ready to plug it into one of the USB ports in the front of the Karoq. The instructions on the Skoda portal are fine except for the very last one which says to leave the USB update permanently plugged in each time I drive the car. Ermmm, is this now to be a permanent feature of my infotainment system? Sounds like a very clumsy u

Hi there! As many of You know, among the several retrofits I’m doing on my Karoq, there’s the screen update, from Amundsen (8 inches) to Columbus (9,2). While the rectangular connector fits perfectly (audio works and buttons turn on), the screen remains black due (according to mechanic) to the different Fakra connectors, blue on Amundsen and Black on Columbus) as they have a small tooth in a different position (top on one, bottom on the other).
