ZEN Micro MP3

Featured Replies

Morning all.

I have a creative Zen micro and I'm looking to find some way of playing my mp3 through my factory H/U.

Bought a Sony H/U for my old pug but i dropped it and smashed the screen so dont really want to splash out on another head unit just yet.

Any help greatfully recieved.

Cheers

I got a VRFM9 off ebay £30 - transmits to your car radio.

BUT - you only need the cable! About £5 from china.

Plug it in the cig lighter and tune the radio!

Search for +car +fm +transmitter

those FM tuners are technically illegal, I think. I cant imagine anyone getting prosecuted for it, but might be somethign to bear in mind.

Really  Cant see why. Ive now got three!!! One for me, one for SWMBO and one for her bro. (But dont tell anyone else) The walls have ears.

They're illegal because you're broadcasting on FM without a licence! As DM said, because they're low range, I doubt anyone other than the cars around you would be able to pick it up and I can't see them bothering to bring about a prosecution :D

Ahhh, interesting. Never thought of it that way. Next step...Hospital Radio!!

They are currently illegal but Ofcom is currently in the process in changing the 1940's legislation to allow the use of an ultra-short range FM transmitter.

I find it strange that these transmitters to bradcast your MP3 to yours and everyone else's! radio are suddenly now illegal. Sony have been selling a cd changer that does the same and Halfords have been selling that for years.

True, many shops are now selling them, and ebay is flooded with them. I got one off ebay for

They're not suddenly illegal, they are not illegal to own or sell its the use of them without a broadcasting license which has been illegal for the past 57years! ;)

I think you'll find the cd changers your talking about are wired directly into the aerial input on your headunit so the dont actually broadcast a signal it just gets pumped straight down the wire.
