My mother-in-law is thinking of getting a 54 plate Leon Cupra as it fits the bill with size, fast and it's a pretty colour.

Are there any things different from the Octy mechanics wise that she should ask about or any problems she should ask the dealer?

What are the differences between the Cupra and the FR?

Any advise and info would be appreciated!!

Petrol or diesel?

Petrol same 1.8 20v T as Octy. She likes the inside more of the Cupra R but she is in her mid-fifties and 225 bhp is a bit scary I think. She will be trading in a Mazda 323 Sport 2 litre (150 bhp), so trying to get something similar if not a little quicker and this is the only car out of the current bunch at around

Nice car, go well and handle well.

Dynamically better than the Octy but the interior isn't quite upto scratch.

Had a Seat hire car on Lanzarote. Exterior wise I quite like Seats but inside the dashboard is dominated by a big grey slab of plastic.
