HAS any of you had a problem with main dealer, when having toothed cambelt change. Coz I'M HAVING A LIVING NIGHTMARE!

Perhaps a bit more info might get you some more help.

More details on the problems you have experienced or are experiencing may bring better results to your post.

Hi ,yeh it might help, took my Vrs in fot its 50k service and toothbelt change, the next thing I'm told there was a delay and was given a courtesy car. 2 days on I'M told that they received a faulty part (some kind a tension cog I think),which was put on and then tried ,which obviously failed and they said they had to inspect inside the cylinder head to see if there was any damage inside , following that the inspection revealed that 2 or 4 of my valves were bent(at this point my **** fell out) .Which I am now waiting to be repaired. I am now worried that it won't perform like before .

Never had those problems, and I wouldn't expect to be charged for it. Sounds like something wasn't lined up properly when the belt was put on (i remember someone else posting about it being done to theirs, think it was out by 2 or 3 teeth).

Hope you get it sorted

I would imagine you are pretty pi$$ed off as it sounds like a mechanical failure of the new part or a workshop error. As for it not running the same I shouldn't worry, as long as the work is done to a high standard you'll be fine although you may wish to seek some compensation.

i hope they will change all of the valves
