1.4 AUB engine piston rings- oil advice.

I've seen some reports of worn piston rings on this engine.

I could do with some advice regarding the most sutable oil to avoid the problem if possible.

Car is a November 2001 (51 reg) Fabia Comfort, 1.4 Auto, Engine AUB.

Present Mileage 6000.

There is no evidence of excessive oil consumption but there is some oil on the throttle plate, I put this down to over filling by the dealer at the last oil change in Nov 04 at 3000 miles, the oil has not been changed since.

Present oil fitted by dealer is Magnatec according to the service receipt.

I have full synthetic 5W40 oil that I purchase in bulk for my Volvo V70 Petrol Turbo.

I was thinking of using this in the Fabia.

Would this oil be suitable or am I asking for trouble?
