Factory CD Changer & iPod

Featured Replies

My wife is awaiting delivery of her new Furby vRS which she has specified with the CD changer.

She has now decided she would like to be able to use her iPod through the stereo, unavailable as standard fit, and we have had conflicting information.

We have been looking at aftermarket headunits that allow the iPod to be connected through the face but have been told that it is impossible to connect an aftermarket headunit to the standard fit autochanger, IS THIS TRUE??

If it is possible is anyone using aftermarket headunits to connect iPod's and are they any good??

Cheers for the help!!

Have a chat to a guy called Philip Henderson at justcarkits.co.uk he does an after market iPod connector that plugs in via the CD Changer Socket has a cradle holder so charges the iPod at the same time and so he tells me you can control the iPod from the Header Unit.

Not got one myself, but he fitted ny Parrot 3400GPS Bluetooth Car Kit did an excellent job at an excellent price. Saw the iPod Kit at the time but don't have an iPod so no requirement from me.

You can get a ipod connector kit to fit the standard headunit for

That's the problem, she doesn't want to lose the CD changer:confused:  !?!

We had hoped to solve the problem by adding an aftermarket headunit but we've been told it's impossible to connect the changer to an aftermarket headunit:mad:  ?!?!?!?

I don't understand why you'd want to use the cd changer if your using an ipod?? Since i bought my ipod in may the only time i've used a CD is to put it on the ipod.

Don't ask me, ask SWMBO:rolleyes:  !?!?!?

Think it's because she paid extra for the changer and wants to get some use out of it!!

Knowing how much she uses her iPod at the moment there's no way she'd use the changer if she could use her iPod!!

I'll just leave the decision to her and sort everything out once she's made her mind up, AS USUAL:rolleyes: :D:rolleyes::D:rolleyes: !!
