Felicia Hoses

Featured Replies

Hello all

Haven't been on for a while, but I need some assistance!

Yet another Water pipe has gone on my Felly. The bottom hose went 4 months ago, another one went 1 month ago and this time the little hose to the oil filter has gone. I replaced the other two with odd bits of straight pipe but this small pipe bends in all manner of different ways.

I've bought

i used an old Service washing machine to pilfer hose bits from :) It worked tho.

any cloth hoses are crap and the salt in winter will rot them a treat. My 1.9D has done 189,000kms and the pipes remain original (damns fate saying that), the newer lxi has had a lot of issues when skoda ........... dunno, think got cheap under VW.

the clamps skoda use do not help either as they bite into and in time trash the hose. may be worth refitting each after a general look over and re-fit.

if you are going to use any old bits of hose for oil pipes be carefull because ceratin types of rubber are attacked by engine oil and will fail. the best place to go is your local motor factors, they will normally sell rubber hoses of all different sizes by the meter of a reel.

Yea. I think it's time to get in there, pull out all the hoses, inspect and replace. (And buy loads of jubbilee clips)

But 1st I have to sort out the snapped accellerator cable on the allegro. :'(
