Mobile Phones (wipe my a**e please)

Featured Replies

I'm about to start a new contract with Vodafone, I'll be keeping my old phone and selling the new one on Fleabay. What are the kids going for these days ? What model is going to fetch the highest price ? Can't check myself 'cos I have no internet at home atm and Ebay is barred at work (although I can get onto this den of depravity no problem ?).

Any help gratefully appreciated. :)

As its a Vodafone upgrade, Some of these phones are going well on Ebay.

Sony Ericsson m600i

Sony Ericsson k800i

Vodafone 1605

If you can get any of these phones for free on your contract, you are in the money selling them on ebay, but even if you have to pay a bit for the upgrade, you'll make it back on the ebay sale.

One of the most popular is the Sony Ericsson k800i, buy it now on ebay approx £270.00, but some have gone for £300.00

Was thinking of doing the same myself, just upgraded to an Orange SPV m3100 for £99.99 and these are going on ebay for £500.00.

But its a great phone/pda for everything.

Just got a K800i free on an 18 month contract, thanks for the advice.

Be very careful selling phones on eBay lots of scammers, nearly got stitched up with wifes old Samsung E720. Even though I blocked bidders from outside UK and stated would only ship to UK. Some scammer won it and wanted it shipped to his son in Nigeria.

Yep - good choice with the K800i. As for resale potential, there's lots of people who just want the latest phone and don't want/can't get a contract.

And as said above, watch out for people with low feedback\not registered in the UK. Unfortunately there's a hell of a lot of them that bid on phones and electrical equipment Don't be surprised if you have to relist due to a non-paying bidder, you'll get there in the end and the profit will be worth it!

Just one thought though - if you don't have net access at home and eBay's blocked at work, how are you going to get the phone up for auction??
