Demon Tweeks - without VAT Quote?!?!

Featured Replies

I phoned Demon Tweeks a couple of days ago to order some Black Diamond brakes for the Octavia and the guy quoted a price of

MOre than likely, if you look at their catalogue there is a statement on the top of every page saying that prices are subject to VAT.

I could understand if you were a business placing an order as a business expects to pay and re-claim VAT.

However as an individual you would hope that they would have the courtesy to advise that pricing is +VAT.

Try your luck and tell them they failed to advise of the +VAT charge, you may get a discount.

He will have quoted you plus VAT. Most of Demon Tweeks customers are small/medium racing teams who will be VAT registered and therefore not bother about the VAT.

It is also one of the reason's Demon Tweeks are also know as Demon Thieves... There is very little that DT sell that can't be had cheaper else where...

I own a small motorsport preparation business, running 8 cars.

The D T catalogue, in my opinion, should be used for reference only. See what suits your requirements and then find it elsewhere. MUCH CHEAPER.

I can't afford to shop at D T !!!!!

Only use them if you are desparate and only if they have what you want IN STOCK. Dont be conned into paying up front for something that "should be in at the end of the week" I know of people waiting weeks, literally.:thumbdwn:
