finally fixed!!!!!!!!

Featured Replies

its been 6 months and over £200 but my felly is finally fixed.

Kudos to the guys at my main dealer (wont reveal names and location!!! you will see why in a bit!)

Took it in for my bargain ecu replace and configure yesterday, and when they were done still had strange wiring fault (G71) coming up which baffled them. So they put on a new map sensor, throttle body, ecu, crank and cts sensors in an attempt to locate the problem. nothing worked.

they called me in, and while we were talking they found the source of all my problems, a broken earth lead within the main sensor loom. with a bit of chocolate block and some pvc tape all was fixed.

best of all, because all the brand new stuff they put on was in their warehouse for 3 years and never been sold, and the fact that they wanted some lunch, they left all the new stuff in with NO CHARGE!!!!!!

not bad for £38 labour!!!!!!!

as you can guess, im one happy camper. lucky me.

in total they reckoned over £1500 of new sensors was put in and given to mee for free.

car runs like a charm and purrs like a kitten now, even got another 15mph top speed out of it!!!!!

yay yay yay

i'm glad it's all worked out ok for you in the end! i said that it was propably a fault on the loom somwhere..

Think is self diagnosis would have logged faults with the sensors relating to the earth. I dont know about any other tech but if I see a great list of faults I have a look on the current flow diagram and see if anything connects them before I got replacing sensors.
