SMS land line phones.

Featured Replies

My Panasonic DECT Phone has a SMS feature that i haven't bothered with up until now but mobile was dead the other day so gave it a go. Worked a treat with my home no. displaying as the source of the message. I took 2 or 3 mins to be received but replies come through in a matter of seconds accompanied by a short beep.

My question is, how do they do that? The phone doesn't seem to dial any number to a sort of dialup service before sending or receiving txt messages.

Some say witchcraft others say it depends on whether your operator supports it. Most will do these days as it uses the same technology as caller display. Found this on the net as it may help.
