I voted for the Schumeister but Senna would of been the other choice. I really got into F1 during Senna/Prost/Mansell days and Schumy was the young upstart then.

You can't really argue with Schumacher's record over the past decade and that is why I voted him to be the best.

Jimmy Clark! My Mum used to serve him and his Dad when they came into the Cafe she used to work in in Berwick , she said both him and his Dad always spoke , very nice people. He has to be the only F1 world champ that competed in Berwick and District Car Club events too.... ;)

Can you imagine a modern prima-donna driver doing all that now?

Schumacher is a driving god. He knows exactly what is required to win a race be it from pole or from 20th on the grid. At the end of a race he is the only one of the drivers not sweating buckets, of course he his cold and calculating in the car that is what wins races.

Totally agree and he is my favourite :) He was a genius behind the wheel of an F1 car and knew how to get the best from a team.

Yeah I know! The likes of him and Jackie Stewart are long gone I'm afraid. I don't know if youve ever been up to the Jim Clark Room in Duns , but if youre ever up this way you should go , they have nearly all of his trophies on display , including the Indy 500 one , and the ring and winners jacket too. Also overalls , old pictures etc. I can't belive that my mum has spoken to an F1 World champion! I have spoken to an Indy 500 winner , albeit before he won it....I enjoyed a cold beer in the TOMS Toyota F3 team's Winnebago at the 1996 (i think) British GP with the Swedish Driver Kenny Brack , but that's another story...lol

Funnily enough theres a Jim Clark connection there as well , Nicky Jordan , who at the time was Chief mechanic for TOMS is from Berwick , and was one of Jims mechanics when he was just starting out in racing...its a small world eh?...lolol

Not been to the JC room since before it was "done up" in the last 10 years or so. My mum lives in Dumbarton, so all the family have met Jackie Stewart (and his parents, and I know my dad met Jimmie too).

Ayrton Senna .... NO.1
