Expert advice needed please

Featured Replies

My Octy vRS has started jerking quite badly, when I start driving from cold.

Once its warmed up a bit, its fine.

I never had this problem until I took off the recirc valve and replaced it with a baileys one.

I have since put on the standard one again, but its still doing the kangaroo impression.

I have checked the jubilee clips on the recirc valve and they are all as tight as possible.

Does any one know a possible reason its happening, or had a similar experience?

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Damian.

Do you know if the car has had any coil pack failures/changes in the past?

Im not sure mate

I only bought the car a couple of months ago.

Do you think its the coil pack then?

I'm still fairly new to this vRS game but experienced a similar problem myself shortly after getting my Oct vRS. I was advised to clean the throttle bodies, which I did and all was well again...............took no more than 5 mins to sort.

Good luck

Lance

just dont disconnect the TB as you'll need to have someone with Vag-Com reset it.

also try cleaning the MAF sensor with some contact cleaner.
