I Agree a good update this time round.

i particularly like the album view, so you can look through the cd's, just like you would with the real thing.

A stupid thing to like about the firmware update is that when your iPod is connected, its backlight stays on very low.

Yes, its a great update.

Much more user friendly.

hhmm... I think i'll to try this on a test box first :)

Just noticed that the latest ipod update has stopped the annoying pause between live and continuous tracks. Something people have been moaning to Apple about for ages.

I agree - seems a good update.

Although - the auto update for artwork is flawed. A few albums have uploaded some totally irrelevant artwork!

Ah well, manually over-rided them with artwork downloaded from amazons site!

I do like the album view, very nice indeed.

Been having a play with it... and only the stuff i've bought from iTunes actually has any album artwork...

I was wondering if the continuous playback feature in itunes is also applicable to the ipod update as well..

You can add artwork from your own ripped cd's and other aquired mp3 tracks.

I like the fact that when you scroll quickly through your album list it brings up a letter search, so instead of you having to scroll through the entire album list, if you want to go to S you just do a quick spin round the pad and it changes to search for letter mode.

Thanks for pointing that out, never new of it till now on the new update.

Makes life so much easier when selecting 1 of 700 albums on my ipod.

To save me working it out, how do you manually add artwork from Amazon?

This is the mluton way of adding album art.

1. Get the album cover on your hard drive, from amazon, or easier my way is go to google and change to "image search". Type album cover name you are after in google search (e.g. definately maybe), click search.

2. click on the you want (e.g Front cover), click "See full-size image" at the top, then right click on the image "save image as" save it to your computer.

3. In itunes select all the tracks you want the album art work on, then right click on one of the selected tracks and choose "GET INFO"

4. Double click the big album artwork box. (See image)

5. select your picture from your computer, then OK that box.

6. OK the "GET INFO" screen, all done.

Hope this helps.

"Look into my eyes, Look into my eyes, don't look around the eyes, 3-2-1, you're under!"

"tomorrow you will go to your local iPod stockist and purchase an 80GB Video iPod"

"3-2-1, you're back in the room!"
