Featured Replies

Hi all,

I wonder if anyone can help me, I have the engine management light on , its a 2001 1.8T 4x4 octavia had it in the garage today and it is a possible fault code 0970 (lamda sensor) had a new one fitted three weeks ago and seems to be working fine has anyone any ideas on what is wrong any help would be great and thanks for the info all the best

Fault code doesnt mean anything to me not a VAG number.

Quite often lambda faults are more cause they are effect, so its not a fault with the lambda probe but with the lambda reading/exhaust emissions from the engine.

Really need more info.

Hi Lummox,

Thanks for your help, had it in the local garage for diagnosis, had it two days and when I went to collect it had that down on sheet as problem will double check I have got the code right but they said they had to investigate it further and would need the car for a further day at least next week it just seemed to me strange after a new lamda sensor was fitted three weeks ago or is that only my paranoia
