Dashbpoard creaking noise

Featured Replies

Hi,

I've just bought a fabia and there are a couple of problems with it...

firstly the dashboard is making a creaking noise which sounds like its coming from behind the 2 central airvents, i've tried taking the dash apart but still can't get to it. ehrn i got close there were a couple of bits of what looked like yellow rubber bands, i don't know whether these were some kind of insulation that would of prevented the noise before. Any suggestions, its driving me mad!! otherwise i'll take it into a skoda dealer to get it done.

Next thing is the radio wont pick up any stations, the ariel is plugged in and i've tried 2 different stereo's and changed the bee sting ariel on the back...?????

Do a search mate. This is a well known fault and there are several suggested cures - one involving a wine bottle cork!
