hi, i've a '55 fabia vrs.

looking under the car today...

what's the metal radiator type thing on the underside of the car, approx under

the drivers seat? about 40cm long and 10cm wide.

anything to do with the aircon?

Fuel pre-heater? Or is it a cooler for when the fuel is returned to the tank? Or maybe both?! :rofl:

the pipes do seem to lead back towards the fuel tank.

It needs it because the fuel is subjected to very high pressure & generates a lot of heat.

So does that mean it should be kept clean and free from dirt/debris?

Or is there no need to because of the construction of it?

If you ever get the urge to crawl under your car and rummage about cleaning a lump of aluminium, you need a proper hobby:D
