leaking felicia estate

hi ,took the car to RAC windscreens ,they sealed the windscreen at a cost of 25 pound ,it still leaked ,i followed the advice of a skoda owner here and smeared vaseline all round the rubber seal,no leak now for a couple of weeks ,some heavy rain too,very happy now,thanks to all for input.skoda wanted 45 pounds just to look ,then 40 per hour labour!
