vRS Tickover

Featured Replies

Last night I noticed my vRS had a lumpy tickover. Was wondering what would cause this? Cars just been serviced.

Is it anything to worry about?

mine has a bit of a lumpy tickover also , always has had to some degree , if you use a premium brand fuel , i've found this to reduce the lumpyness slightly

same here ... high octane fuel helps, but even then the tickover isn't as smooth as some cars. I don't think it's anything to worry about ... sometimes mine is fine, other days it gently hunts up and down by about a hundred rpm (at most).

Pretty sure it's nothing to worry about unless it does it all the time and the engine is causing the car to shudder.... My old Fabia did it and I always attributed it to the tuning box I had on, but maybe it was there anyway.... sorted itself out when it warmed up :D
