Adjusting windscreen wipers?

Featured Replies

My drivers side wiper blade sweeps a bit too far and it just touching the bodywork at the edge of the windscreen as it reaches the top, creating an annoying tapping noise when the wipers are on. Does anyone know how to adjust it a notch or two down so as it doesn't do this?

TIA. :)

Mine did this but after fitting the Renault Areo wipers it doesn't do it now. I think it's because they are thinner and don't have a large spoiler fitted

Prise off the cap, undo the 13mm nut, give it a wiggle and move the arm as required.

Cheers Ross. :)

I wish mine would come off by just giving it a "wiggle"! - I've been trying to get it off for weeks - same problem, the off-side side blade has always hit the bodywork - 2001 car, It's my own fault for not getting it adjusted under warranty.

I've tried soaking it with WD40 etc etc, but it remains firm. I suppose the only way now is to invest in a puller.
