Cruise Control Retrofit

Featured Replies

Had my cruise control done (fabia vrs) a couple of weeks ago by Stu (Fabia-vrs.com - Home Page) and its been fantastic.

Something I would highly recommend to anyone who doesnt already have it!

It only took about an hour to have installed and looks and functions exactly as it would do if it had been fitted by the factory.

If you dont have it go and get it!

Spot on for that, its my next port of call once I get a spare five mins to book it up

Hi Bradley

Glad all is well and you are enjoying it. Have you got over the strange feeling of driving without your foot on the pedal?

Yeah, it's weird to use for the first time but I don't think I could live without it now!

I find it really useful to prevent overspeeding.

All I need now is the remap/tuning box, green cotton filter and PD160 air intake and I will be happy!

This operation is also under my project list. Nice to hear that job wasn't so difficult.

Not much then eh :P

I know of a used green filter and PD 160 intake if you want it.

How much do the parts alone cost? Not including any labour etc.

IIRC you are looking at around £75 for the parts if you use the VW loom. I don't, I use a Skoda loom which is better.

Don't forget your strut brace

So, what part numbers do i need if was gonna walk into my local dealer and order the bits??

Or would you be able to supply me the parts stu??
