Gritters

Featured Replies

So how come during the week when we needed them

I didnt spot 1 gritter lorry :x

But over the weekend on my travels around the M25(south) I passed 4 Gritter lorries when the weather was on the mend.

I say pass but try doing anything more than 45 mph past them and you would spend a fortnight removing the gravel embedded in the grilles

Come on Karl, you don't expect them to drive around on icy roads do you?? they might have an accident! :poo:

You'd think after the slating the French transport authorities got from the public when they had snow, that our boys and gals would have been ready and eager to grit the roads. oh well!

I saw one last night, well at least I think it was one, but it was spraying out a liquid not grit. I dunno exactly what it was but my car is covered in little white spots this morning. It comes off so I'm guessing they are now mixing salt with water in my area. Seems daft spraying water on icy roads but still.
