My Furby died!

Featured Replies

Coming back from the dentist of all times!

I was sitting at a set of traffic lights, Birmingham rush hour just after a filling! Goes to pull away when the lights change and she dies, just cuts out. No engine man lights or anything. Tries to start it, but to no avail.

Phones the RAC and they come out nice and promptly as im causing chaos because I was in the right hand lane of a dual carriage way, on the said traffic lights. They could'nt get it going so I ended up being towed home and then towed to the dealers the following morning.

Turns out the the turbo has blown and the dealer said that I needed a new intercooler as well. Gutted! :(

Good job it's under warranty! Worryingly though the dealer that the car is at, said he has seen it twice before and they were both on similar mileage (18K)

Should get her back in a couple of days. Can't wait tbh, ive had to hire a Fiesta 1.4 TDCi and man it's slow!

I know, they are really bad are'nt they! :D

Luckily it wasnt re-mapped! I was thinking about getting a dragon this month though.

Another 2005 Fabia VRS with Turbo problems - except this one isn't mapped?

Makes you wonder if the other Turbo problems being experienced by members on here is down to the remaps or not.

Is it possible for VAG to produce a bad batch of Turbo's ??

The wife had her turbo pop after a few months a while back - 55 plate and standard. Fixed under warranty, but it makes you wonder...
