Must admit to being a bit worried about the Taxi look when i ordered it but i dont think she does to be honest. What do you think?

As the L+K model fully loaded is a bit of an understatement and if you add the 17 alloys sports suspension, privacy glass , ESP, front sensors, side airbags , TPM to name but a few what more could a gadget man want.......... :) :) :)

Personally, I think white is a brave choice of colour but it does seem to be more fashionable lately.

It looks smart enough as it is, but with a couple of judicious mods, you could soon stop people hailing you in the street ... :D

As for the Taxis i do get my fuel paid so maybe a new sideline!!

You wont be seeing many MKII Octys as cabs as they aren't up to the job really, the MK 1's were cheap enough to overlook the deficiencies but alas the MKII is no cheaper than any other mainstream manufacturer.

P.S. It's not white, it Japans national racing colour!!

Like it. Needs the black rubbing strips IMO. The vRS should have 18" versions of those wheels, not the Zeniths...

Looks great, I've got the same model and spec on order bar the tinted glass, wish I'd gone for the privacy option now I can see how good it looks.

Basically they are too small to be taxis, the MK1 is way too small, though the situation has improved on the MK2 although rear legroom still isn't really good enough.

The Mk1 was also very handy at eating gearboxes, even the 60 bhp SDi I've been driving this week is on its 3rd gearbox at only 160k, seriously uncomfortable too, seats are like perches and way to hard, on the flip side the MK1 is so basic and plasticky inside that the interior does wear well.

The Mk2 is simply just too expensive for what it is. for the same money you can buy cars that 5 people will fit in comfortably. (mondeo/avensis etc, even the Superb can be had for the same price with cabbies discount)
