SDI Service inspection

Featured Replies

Hi guys

What should I replace at 65-70k? I have recently changed the oil and filter when the "oil service" instruction came up.

I'm thinking: Replace glow plugs, Air filter... but not what else?

Obviously I'll inspect brake fluid level, pad depth, coolant levels etc.

I know they say its filled for life but changing the gearbox oil makes a tremendous difference to shift quality. Not a difficult job but extra expense outside the "normal" routine servicing.

What is your pollen filter like?

Thought about upgrading your headlight bulbs?

How do guys. Thanks for the replies. Only just remembered about this.

The cam belt has been changed so that has been covered. Where is the pollen filter?

Pollen filter is under the dash on the passenger's side of the heater. Definately worth replacing. I buy mine from German Swedish and French.

Have you had the brake fluid changed? If not I would. My Fabia just needed two new wheel cylinders at 100K because no one had changed the brake fluid earlier.

I was gonna say brake fluid too

it should be done every 2 years regardless of mileage as it absorbs moisture and therefore can make your brakes spongy or pull to one side
