High Level LED failure on Fabia

Featured Replies

Hi Guys

Furby vRS is in for second service tomorrow and one problem I hope they will resolve is with the High Level Brake light - Basically only the two outer clusters of the unit are working and everytime I brake I get the annoying BEEEEEP that would drive you insane, why don't Skoda give you a nice soft bell or something rather than something that could cause you to crash.

Anyways I suspect a dodgy connection but did not want to go and try to remove the plastic surround round the light, anyone got any ideas what the problem could be? surely the bulbs can't be blown at this early stage.

Cheers

Andy

Hi

Yes they can blow early mine went at 10,000miles.

It's a new unit of course not a bulb, so when it's out of warranty it will be replaced by an earlier Fabia unit

The warning bleep is a sodding irritation as well

When they blow early, does it take out all the LEDs or just a few? Only ask as I was following a 55-plate Audi A3 which had 4 LED's out on the high level brake light!

Chris
